About Our Minister

LINDELL MITCHELL was born in Gulfport, Mississippi. He married Pamela (Butler) of Windom, TX. Pamela is the Director of Special Services for the school system in Livingston, TX.

The Mitchell's have two grown children. Devona is a Pediatric Attending Physician at Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX. She is married to Jaysen Martin who completed his Master's degree of Education. Jaysen is a science teacher. The family worships with the Aledo church of Christ in Aledo, Texas. The Mitchell's son, Jacob, is a graduate of Baylor Law School in Waco, TX. He serves as a felony prosecutor with the District Attorney's office in Tarrant County Ft. Worth, TX. Jacob worships with the Northwest church of Christ in Ft. Worth, TX. Lindell and Pamela have three grandchildren. Pierce Grey Martin is an active six year old. His sister Adelyn Grace is five. Their baby sister Stella Faith is now one year old.

Brother Mitchell holds B.A. and B.S. degrees from Freed-Hardeman University and the M.A.R. from Harding Graduate School of Theology. He has preached for forty years. The Mitchells have just completed their twenty eighth year of service with the Livingston church of Christ. His evangelistic work has taken him to Scotland, England, Mexico, El Salvador, Venezuela, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Singapore, Honduras, and Guatemala. He currently teaches short-courses for the Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver at extension schools in Guatemala. Lindell was instrumental in establishing a prison ministry at the Polunsky Unit in Livingston. Preaching the gospel there has resulted in hundreds of baptisms.
